Since graduating with a B.A. from CSU Sacramento in 2015, Victoria has been grown professionally within a video production company known as The Film Squad. Through the company, she has honed her skills in filmmaking and videography, garnering the know-how to create budgets and execute projects with cinematic quality while leading a production crew. Today, Victoria Suan has evolved into a successful independent filmmaker and creative entrepreneur. She alone has single-handedly led an online marketing campaign, attracted financial sponsors, and raised over $37,000 to complete her first feature documentary film, Becoming Incurable. The film is currently prepping for distribution. Getting to where she is now took 4 years of diligent research and applying learned strategies into the real world. She stays actively up-to-date on this information, reading new case studies, articles, and books while discovering new online platforms in the creative independence economy. Her goal is to continue shifting her career towards becoming a full-time filmmaker and producer, and to also provide guidance for other creatives along the way.
